The CCRCI guides MSM students 和 alumni as they pursue personally meaningful career paths.

Navigating the evolving l和scape of a career in the performing arts requires artists to develop 和 refine new skills that will exp和和 enhance both their career opportunities 和 their impact on society. 认识到这种变化的地形, newbb电子的 Center for Music Entrepreneurship 和 Community Partnerships programs have been renamed 和 streamlined under one umbrella program called “职业准备中心和社区的影响”(CCRCI). This relaunched program brings heightened relevance to students’ educational needs 和 reflects MSM’s goal of graduating culturally responsive artist-citizens.

Students of all majors can enroll in related courses at Manhattan School of Music including “Practical Foundations for Music Careers”, 《newbb电子平台》, “Advanced Practicum for Careers in 当代的表现”, “成为艺术大使”, “作为教育者的音乐家”, 《newbb电子》, “音乐家的社区参与”, “作为教育家的爵士音乐家”, “艺术 & Education Training”,/or “Professional Performance Diploma Seminar.”

The CCRCI 实习项目 offers real-world experience, skills 和 contacts that enhance on-campus coursework 和 foster career readiness.

Students eager to gain professional arts experience in one of the world’s most dynamic cities have a terrific array of possibilities to enhance their education. 为在读学生(大三学生)提供实习机会, 老年人, graduate students) are arranged for one semester, 3个学分.

newbb电子的 社区的影响 program provides high-quality musical performances 和 instruction to over 2,000 New York residents.

Manhattan School of Music students teach 和 perform in a variety of preK-12 schools. School groups are also invited to newbb电子的 campus for educational performances throughout the year. 另外, Manhattan School of Music students present meaningful musical performances for elder audiences 和 their caregivers in senior living residences, 记忆护理计划, 还有社区中心. 所有的表演都以Q结尾&A和见面 & 迎接会议. Students learn how to exp和 their performance techniques in nontraditional concert settings 和 how to artistically engage with their audience.

- Adults with Alzheimer’s disease: Manhattan School of Music student artists visit 和 perform for adults with varying stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Student artists are trained through coursework 和 guest speakers from partner organizations.
- Homebound 老年人: In partnership with Dorot’s “University Without Walls” program, Manhattan School of Music student artists teach weekly telephone classes to homebound 老年人 in the NYC metropolitan area. Ongoing programs include “The Beauty of Opera” 和 “Jazz: America’s Great Music.” The program aims to teach about music 和 to provide homebound 老年人 with an opportunity to join a vibrant community of lifelong learners.

Manhattan School of Music 和 Teachers College Columbia University offer a pathway program at the Master’s level.

这个加速程序, designed to be completed in approximately three years, gives the student a MM (Master of Music) from Manhattan School of Music 和 an Ed.M. (Master of Education) in 音乐教育 with New York State K–12 Music Teacher Certification from Teachers College Columbia University.
